Christian Legacy Academy was founded to provide quality elementary and high school education with a Christian perspective, believing education is the only concrete and eternal legacy that could be handed down to our children. For long after wealth shall have vanished, character shall remain. The Bible exhorts us to “ train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).

 

In pursuit of this goal, the Academy uses the SCHOOL OF TOMORROW – Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) Program, a system of education in use for over 30 years by over 7,000 Christian schools worldwide. In the Philippines, the Academy is in partnership with over 300 schools which for a quarter of a century has produced and continue to produced academically-qualified, globally-oriented and, more significantly, morally-charactered and absolutely God-fearing young men and women. With this curriculum, the Academy is backed up with the tools, resources and expertise of an international organization with over 30 years of experience.

 

The curriculum is built and anchored on the inspired, inerrant Word of God – the Bible – which is the sole foundation of the theological and philosophical position of the Academy's educational ministry. The basis of our philosophy of education is the mandate in Deuteronomy 6:6-7, which reads: “And these words which I command thee…shall be in thine heart: thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children…” Parents are also admonished to “bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the LORD” (Ephesians 6:4).

The Academy believes the real test of an education's worth is not what he gets out of it, but what he becomes by it. “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his soul?” (Matthew 16:26). And the results of the use of the program by the Academy, and of schools the world over, are dramatic!

 

The strength and success of the Program lies not in its being academically excellent, which it is! It lies in the truths and character values of the Bible integrated throughout the curriculum. People act on their convictions and live according to their belief systems. “Tell me what a man believes,” challenged Ralph Waldo Emerson, “and I'll tell you what he will do.”

 

The Academy thus trains young people through a curriculum that is academically-excellent, and honors Christ and shapes attitudes, through a dedicated and competent staff, in a safe environment where drugs, swearing, dirty jokes and cheap literature are not tolerated.
